Our History
The organization came to be in remembrance of Associate Prof. (Mrs.) Elizabeth N. Gadzama who passed away in the year 1999 in memory of her many people-oriented projects as a vet-surgeon, former commissioner of Health in the State and mass mobiliser. Subsequently an application was made to corporate affairs commission for it’s registration which was approved in the year 2004, hence the involvement of CASELS in the above activities.
We try to use an integrated approach to uplift and improve all socio-economic facets of lives in sustainable ways by using locally driven solutions. We believe there are always alternative solutions to mankind’s challenges based on more affordable, acceptable, environmentally friendly and local initiatives.
Our core focus is on rural health and community development. In collaboration with international and local partners we have worked on environmental projects, healthcare projects, education as well as monitoring and evaluation of government intervention projects.
We boast of a highly motivated and innovative team that are not afraid to work in difficult areas to positively impact the lives of the common man.
